Welcome to the Price Police Department’s home page. Price City is located in southeastern Utah. Our City is the county seat of Carbon County which is home to about 9000 people. Price City serves both Carbon and Emery Counties as the business shopping hub for about 35,000 individuals. The Price City Police Department has 16 sworn officers, one ordinance compliance officer and two police secretaries.

 

 

The Price Police Department is a full service department 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Ten officers and two Sergeants are assigned to patrol. One officer is assigned to the Carbon Metro Drug Task Force and one officer to Investigations. The Captain oversees the activities of the patrol officers and Carbon Metro Drug Task Force. The Captain reports to the Chief of Police. The Chief of Police is responsible for all activities of the Price Police Department, directly supervises Investigations, and reports to the Mayor of Price City.

 

Dispatch services are contracted through the State of Utah, Department of Telecommunications. Officers of the Price City Police Department are engaged in Neighborhood Watch activities, Officer Friendly, D.A.R.E. and other community awareness activities.

 

The Price City Police Department is dedicated to serving its citizens in the most professional manner possible. The officers are part of this community and want it to be a place where anyone would feel safe. Officers are assigned all of their equipment including a police vehicle which they keep at

home when off-duty. This allows quick response times in emergency as well as a highly visible police fleet.
